Are You Tasting the Pith? - 13th January 2008

A Year of Beer #3 - Adnams Innovation

Another part of our (hopefully) year-long video project, A Year of Beer. looking at the idea of beer and seasonality - how different styles of beer are more appropriate to different seasons, weathers, festivals and so on. There will also be a bit of beer and food matching thrown in because, hell, we love to to eat as much as we love to drink.

This week: Zak's guess at a match with mature cheese is a bit wide of the mark. A late save from the Mango Chutney of Death.

SUMMARY: Adnams Innovation (6.7% abv)
Available from UK supermarket Waitrose, priced about 3.49. Coppery-gold, with a resinous grapefruity nose, aromas of peach and biscuity malt, and a dry, pale stone fruit character in the finish.
